AOA GROUP INSURANCE PROGRAMS About the Program The AOA, founded over 100 years ago, represents more than 32,000 doctors of optometry, students of optometry and paraoptometric assistants and technicians. The AOA Group Insurance Program uses the combined buying power of its members to negotiate desirable insurance plans with competitive group rates. Over 8,400 AOA members currently are protected by additional coverage provided only through the AOA Group Insurance Program.
